Halcyon House

Inspired by European coastal villas and with a distinctly Mediterranean feel, Halcyon House on Cabarita Beach is a relaxed yet luxurious boutique hotel located just 15 minutes south of Gold Coast Airport. Completely refurbished by award-winning architect Virginia Kerridge with interiors styled by Anna Spiro, this is a truly unique property with a cool, coastal style.

Each of the 21 rooms and suites have been individually and exquisitely appointed. Walls are upholstered in luxurious fabrics imported from England, creating a decadent backdrop for hand-picked furnishings, treasures and art from around the globe, including John Derian sofas, Madeline Weinrib rugs and drawings by Wayne Pate.

As if the interiors aren’t enough of an indulgence, the hotel also features the sublime Halcyon Spa, with a delicious menu of spa treatments and packages including the Surrender Spa Journey, Halcyon Deluxe Pedicure and Sodashi Scalp and Hair Treatment. To view the full Spa Menu, click here.

Halcyon House is already number 5 on Australian Traveller‘s ‘100 amazing places you haven’t been to yet.’ Nominated by: Sally Scott, founder of travel website Alluxia.com. Room rates start from $550 for a King suite to $1,400 for  two-bedroom suite. To book a room, click here.

Paper Daisy Restaurant

The poolside restaurant Paper Daisy, was named after the distinctive wildflower on Norrie’s headland and has a menu created around the bespoke wood fired grill and an organic kitchen. With one of Australia’s most promising young chefs Ben Devlin (Queensland’s Chef of Year 2014, ex Noma and Esquire) leading the kitchen, the ethos that drives the restaurant is one of sophisticated simplicity, producing dishes that are satisfying, thoughtful and deeply memorable.
