A Travel Journal by Lucy Laucht
Words Phoebe Carpenter
During my morning ritual of Instagram and Pinterest browsing (aka stalking), I’m usually fortunate enough to stumble across an account that truly enlightens me. Today while admiring all of the gorgeous floor tiles featured on @ihavethisthingwithfloors, I came across a beautiful photograph by Lucy Laucht (pictured above) which led me to Lucy’s inspired website. These Foreign Lands is home to a collection of evocative photographs, travel recommendations and stories of offbeat locales in destinations such as Morocco, Cuba, Tulum and Barbados.
Lucy has traveled to more than 30 countries since leaving England eight years ago and is now settled in New York, where she works in fashion. As well as being a digital specialist, writer and photographer, she clearly has impeccable taste in world wandering and in fashion. Lucy’s website is truly inspirational and has inspired me to book a flight to Morocco. I hope you enjoy browsing through These Foreign Lands as much as I have.
All of the beautiful photographs are taken by Lucy’s friend James. D. Kelly. Below are some of our favourite pics from her travels to Fes, Morocco and Tulum and Valladolid, Mexico.
